Marina di Castagneto
Is directly on the coast and, especially in the cooler evenings, the target of many Italian and foreign guests. There are various attractions: regular concerts, open air cinema, and other cultural events waiting for the guests. Also the amusement park for children up to 12 years of age and further offers such as roller skating rink and trampolines enlarge the appeal of the village. Another large attraction are the many restaurants, pubs and cafés, to a large extent also on the water’s edge, e.g. “Il Poeta” for a wonderful evening meal, or the more rustical “La Zattera” for a glass of wine with a view over the sea. On the road along the beach, there are small stalls with Italian goods and arts and crafts in the evenings. In the day time the wide beach that reaches for miles with its clear water invites you to a refreshing swim.
There is also the chance for Thalassotherapy: the “Gran Hotel Il Bambolo” offers its services in Thalassotherapy for non-guests. Thermal baths, curing baths, and Wellness can all be found a bit more to the south in Venturina, a village which is apart of the province of Campiglia Marittima. The thermal baths of the Costa degli Etruschi offer not only the possibilities for healing and cures, but also holidays with recuperation and relaxation in mind. The thermal baths of the “Valle del Sole”, the “Il Calidario”, and the “Therms di Caldina” are in Venturina, in the Val di Cornia directly near to the sea and the mediaeval villages; for treatment, cures and physical and psychic rehabilitation.
