Suvereto

A charming little village dating back to the 9th. century a.d. This village was earlier renowned for its wine and olive oil production, also for its cork works.

Today, Suvereto presents itself as pretty little village with a well kept mediaeval old  town, that is being renovated on all corners.

Thanks to the initiative of youngsters who have come back to Suvereto after an apprenticeship or studying, there is now an attractive cultural ambience (for example- exhibitions of arts in the small alleyways and a mediaeval festival with culinary delights from this era). The village has thus become more interesting for tourists, without losing any of its authenticity and originality.
